General conditions

These conditions apply to all reservations and all accommodation agreements concluded between “the Customer” and Hôtel du Savoir.

Once a reservation is accepted by the Hotel du Savoir, a contract exists between the Customer and the Hotel du Savoir; the fact that a Customer makes a reservation indicates the acceptance of these General Conditions by the Customer.

Changes to the General Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions are subject to change at any time and without notice. Before making your reservation, we recommend that you consult the latest changes in progress on our website.

General terms and conditions and use of our website

The use of our website is subject to the General Terms and Conditions explained below. By using this website, the Customer acknowledges being legally bound by these General Terms and Conditions.

All discounted rates announced are limited offers, subject to availability, and may be subject to a minimum number of nights. Although every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the information presented, the Hotel du Savoir declines all responsibility for any errors or omissions and reserves the right to change the information and descriptions of the accommodations listed and its products.

Access to the reservation is limited to the exclusive use of individuals or businesses to the exclusion of any group of rooms formed for the same period of stay. Any group request for more than 5 rooms must be formulated in writing (email) and subject to a quote and contract (rates and cancellation conditions specific to groups).

Use of the site

The use of the websites is limited to persons over 18 years of age, of legal age to conclude a contract.

Online Bookings and Third-Party Websites

Please note that different terms and conditions and cancellation policies apply to online bookings made by Booking Agents and other affiliated sites depending on the city, accommodation and rate type selected. Take the time to carefully read the room rate information that is available before you make your reservation online.

Payment methods and credit card payment processes

Except for the Customer who benefits from the “Non-refundable” rate, the Customer must pay the total amount of the balance upon departure or arrival using a nominative credit/debit card. It will also have to comply with the verification using the latest technology that uses chip and PIN code.

Upon arrival, the Customer must also pay a deposit, either using a prior authorization on his card or by cash payment (see the paragraph below on deposits).

The Customer opting for our “Non-refundable” rate benefits from our best prices available at the time of booking. Full payment is mandatory at the time of booking and is definitely non-refundable.

As a security measure, our “Non-refundable” Customer and anyone who has made his reservation through a third party and who has paid in full for his stay must also validate a prior payment authorization (pre-authorization) on his credit/debit card and provide a piece of identification in real time upon arrival.

The Hotel du Savoir accepts the main credit and debit cards.

The Hotel du Savoir does not accept checks.

The Hotel du Savoir reserves the right to validate a prior payment authorization on credit cards used as a guarantee for reservations corresponding to the amount of the first night of the stay before arrival. The Hotel du Savoir reserves the right to cancel reservations associated with refused or invalid credit cards.

Credit/debit card transactions will be charged at the local exchange rate, the Hotel du Savoir declines all responsibility for any additional fees that may be applied.

Cancellations and no-shows

In accordance with Article L. 221-28 of the Consumer Code, the customer does not have the right of withdrawal provided for in Article L. 221-18 of the Consumer Code. The conditions of sale of the reserved rate specify the procedures for cancelling and/or modifying the reservation.

The cancellation of a reservation will only be effective from the date of receipt. Cancellation must be done by email. A cancellation confirmation will then be sent to you. If you do not receive a cancellation confirmation, it is entirely possible that we did not receive your cancellation. It is the Customer's responsibility to ensure that their cancellation request has been received. Cancellations must be received by noon (local time) two days prior to the scheduled arrival date for bookings made through a third party partner. Cancellations of reservations made directly on the hotel website must reach us by noon (local time) the day before the scheduled arrival date. It is important that you keep the cancellation number that was sent to you. If the Customer does not show up or attempts to cancel within 48 hours prior to the scheduled arrival, he is then considered to be in the “No show” category and he will have to pay the total amount which is non-refundable.

Bookings with prepayment cannot be subject to any changes and/or cancellations (“Non-Refundable” rate), as long as the total amount and any additional extras have been charged at the time of booking. Amounts paid in advance, such as deposits, will not be subject to any refund. In this case, it is mentioned in the conditions of sale of the rate.

The Customer accepts that the above cancellation fees are a fair and true estimate of the loss that Hotel du Savoir should incur for the cancellation of a reservation. In the event of interruption of the stay due to the customer, the full agreed price will be collected. In the case of reservations with prepayment, no refund will be granted as a result.

Bookings made through other channels

Bookings can be made by other sources, including online travel agencies, tour operators or other websites that apply different cancellation policies. Please check your confirmation for more details.

Changes in accommodation by the Hotel Petit Belloy Saint-Germain

Whilst every reasonable effort has been made by Hotel du Savoir to ensure that bookings made under this agreement are in a position to be honored, we reserve the right to relocate any reservation to accommodation of a similar size and standard in the locality. The Customer acknowledges that the Hotel du Savoir declines all responsibility for any loss or damage suffered by or caused to the Customer following the move.

Changes to the reservation at the request of the Customer

If the Customer wishes to change his reservation (for example, change the dates of the stay or the accommodation requested), the Hotel du Savoir cannot guarantee that he will be in a position to do so and declines all responsibility for any losses, damages or additional expenses that may occur in such circumstances.

While changes are not allowed for the Non-refundable rate, they are allowed for flexible bookings (subject to availability) if requested no later than 48 hours prior to scheduled arrival. Additional fees may apply if the accommodation rate for the new nights differs from that of the previous reservation. All change requests must be sent to us in writing.

Identification, deposits for damages, extras and cleaning — Prior authorization on a payment card

A photo ID will be required upon arrival.

Room beds can only accommodate the maximum number of customers indicated in the description, and in accordance with the legislation concerning Establishments Receiving the Public. No additional visitors are allowed. Upon arrival, the customer must provide the hotel with the names of all the people staying with him. Unfortunately, the names of no additional visitors can be added after registration has been completed.

The Hotel du Savoir reserves the right to take a deposit upon arrival. A guarantee of €50 is required per night and per occupied room in addition to the payment of the stay.

Only one payment can be considered, and only the person in charge will take responsibility for the conduct of the other occupants.

Payment will be used to cover incidental items including, but not limited to, breakage, damage to property in the residence, cleaning costs due to the room being left unacceptably clean, excessive electricity consumption, and violations of regulations such as smoking in rooms or disturbing other visitors enjoying the hotel. The deposit can also be used by the Management team in case of the presence of additional visitors who are not authorized to use the hotel and its facilities.

At the end of your stay without incident, the pre-authorization will be released in accordance with the policy applied by your banking institution. As a general rule, it takes between 3 and 10 working days, however for some banks this period is extended.

However, the Customer should note that with the prior authorization system, there is no money transfer at the moment, but this will have an impact on the available balance and on the spending threshold authorized with the card, as long as the prior authorization is in progress. L'Hôtel du Savoir is not responsible for delays related to pre-authorization releases by credit card companies.

In the event of disturbances to other visitors, or in the event of damage suffered by the hotel, the cost incurred by the Hotel du Savoir will be deducted from the Deposit paid, and only the remaining balance will return to the Customer.

If this cost exceeds the amount of the Deposit, the Customer undertakes to indemnify the Hotel du Savoir for damages, additional cleaning costs or other expenses and undertakes to pay all recovery costs, including all legal fees, and other expenses.

Hereby, the Customer gives his consent to the Hotel du Savoir to debit from the Customer's credit card all reasonable expenses incurred that are not covered by the Deposit.

Requirements related to arrival and departure formalities — Return of keys

The Customer must comply with the regulations imposed by the Hotel du Savoir at the time of arrival and departure. Unless otherwise agreed in advance, rooms are generally available from 15:00 on the day of arrival. In the case of online check-in, the hotel reserves the right to check the identity documents of each guest. As part of an online payment, the customer must be the holder of the credit card used in his name. The credit card used for payment will be requested by the hotel upon arrival. In the event of a dispute, the hotel reserves the right to request an alternative payment method or to cancel the reservation.

To ensure early arrival (before 12:00), it is necessary to pre-register the room from the previous night. In the event of a no-show in such circumstances, then a fee equivalent to two nights will be charged.

Without prior agreement, all rooms must be vacated and keys returned by 12 noon on the day of departure. By prior arrangement, late departures may be considered for the day of departure. A late check out is subject to an additional charge. An additional night's accommodation will be charged for all departures after 15:00. If the Customer does not show up for his departure formalities before 15:00 on the day of scheduled departure and without prior authorization, the Hotel du Savoir reserves the right to remove the Customer's personal effects from the room and declines all responsibility for the loss or possible damage of these effects.
